First "Family" Christmas!

Well the holidays are almost over. The new year is fast approaching and I couldn't be more excited. I thought 2012 would be great with having Charlie, but now 2013 will be even better because of baby #2's arrival!

We had a wonderful Christmas. Lots of food....too much food! It was nice to see family and spend time with loved ones we don't often get to see. It was Charles first Christmas and it was so fun to see it through his eyes. He didn't quite get the opening presents thing, but it was still fun to watch anyways. Here's a few pictures of the silly guy.

Getting Bigger

EVERYONE is getting bigger right now! Charlie is 10 months, I am 6 months pregnant.....so that means that baby and myself are getting huge! I had my last ultrasound this week and I am so PROUD of myself for being able to stay team green. I am so looking forward to that moment once that baby has arrived and Joe telling me if it's a boy or girl. My clinic got a new ultrasound machine, so the tech asked if we could stay longer so she could learn the 3D program on it. Joe and I of course said yes! We got to see baby a little longer and were able to see some cool 3D images. I think the bottom picture looks exactly like Charles when he was born, but the top ones look more girly.....so I still don't know!

Feeling Blah

I'm not sure what is wrong with me but I just feel so "blah" lately. I have nothing to be upset about. Charles is doing great, baby is growing nice and healthy. I just can't pinpoint it! I miss Joe a lot when he's at work. It's only 12 hours out of the day, but I just wish he was around even if we weren't doing anything important. I'm sure my pregnancy hormones are just on overdrive. I know I'm sensitive to a lot of things lately. Hoping I can get out of this funk soon!

8 is a good number!

It's been a busy couple of weeks.  November 8th was a great day. It was my 27th birthday, Charles turned 9 months old, and baby #2 only has 5 more months to cook! I had a nice lunch date with my husband who took the day off of work. The next night I went out with my really good friends Jamie, Lindsey, and Jessica. I actually met them when we were all getting pregnant on TheBump.com. We had our babies all in February so it has brought us really close together. I'm not sure what I would do without our almost weekly playdates and daily talks.  Yesterday we had our 20 week ultrasound. Baby is measuring right on track for April 8th. We were able to stay team green strong so this baby will be a surprise like we hoped (I was sure I would crack at the appointment!) As of right now I think another Boy, and Joe thinks Girl. I change my mind every other day though :) They gave us a nice DVD of the ultrasound but we can't watch it in case the gender part is there. Oh well!

                                                            Charles is 9 months!

                                                My favorite Mama's!
20 week ultrasound (pics are very blury baby moved a lot)
....and last....me in my 20 week belly glory!

My New Job

Well It's official, I suck at trying to keep up with my blog.....but you all knew that already ;)

I am a full time mom now and have no regrets about staying home with Charlie. So far I have seen every milestone. He is crawling now and standing up on his own. I am getting quite the workout going after him. It is amazing to see how he changes and grows everyday.

I am also 17 weeks pregnant tomorrow. I weigh less than I did last pregnancy which I am liking and feeling better now too that the morning sickness is done. We decided we are not going to find out if we are having a boy or girl, so it's been fun trying to debate what we think it is. I am excited that my hospital has put in a waterbirth room. So we will be going for that and another medication free birth this time. It's crazy that I am almost 1/2 way through my pregnancy already.

Nervous!

Tomorrow is the big day! I will hopefully hear and see a nice healthy heartbeat at the doctors office tomorrow. I am so nervous! I just want it to be 3:30pm already. I know these next 24 hours are going to go by very slowly.

I have been HORRIBLY sick. Even worse than I was with Charlie. Unfortunately work hasn't been very understanding, but on the upside I have only 5 working days left there. I really feel bad about how the way things have been going. I feel very misunderstood and not part of their "family". I was very offended when my boss asked me why I would go to school for so long to just stay home.  I don't consider it "Just staying home". I know I am doing what is best for my family and my children will have that much of a stronger bond with me always being there for them.

Lots of changes (for the better) are about to happen :)

6 weeks and 6 months!

Last Wednesday Charles turned 6 months old! I can't believe he is 1/2 a year. I now see why adding that 1/2 to your age is so important. It has gone by so incredibly fast. He is just the most amazing thing in my life right now.

Today, I am 6 weeks pregnant! I have felt pretty good so far. Only a few bouts of naseua/food aversions. Otherwise just my usual old self. Not drinking has actually been good as I've lost 2 pounds since last week lol. Only 5 more to go to my pregnancy weight. I am going to try and be more healthy this time and not give into the carb cravings I had before. My house is full of fruit so hopefully that helps out.

My camera bit the dust the other day so I will have to update with pictures next week once I have a new one!

Baby #2

I had a wonderful vacation up north at the cabin. We arrived home last night when I realized I had missed something important. Looks like I picked up a hitchhiker on our way home from the cabin :)

Baby # 2 should be here sometime in April of next year. I have gone through many emotions since last night, but am thrilled to have another child. We are not telling anyone for a few weeks so it can be our little secret for a bit....unless of course you are reading this :)

Stay at home mothers

I will have a new title pretty soon. After a lot of debating back and forth, pros and cons lists...and lots of talks with my husband....we have decided it's best for me to be a stay at home mom.

I have really struggled with this decision. It has always been my dream to be a SAHM, but I found I job I really liked last year. It was my dream dental assisting job working in a children's clinic. Things have changed though. I thought I would be doing restorative functions (fillings, extractions, crowns etc) but I am just doing cleanings and X-rays. I also thought I would be at a location close to my house but instead am commuting 45 minutes in the am and 2 HOURS in rush hour traffic in the PM. I have to wake up at 4am in order to drop Charles off at daycare. By the time I get home at night it's around 7pm.

I know now that Joe is a Veterinarian and working we are making some awesome $$$$. I just don't want people to think I am quitting because he makes so much. He keeps telling me I was with him before he even went into vet school...but I know the way some people think!  He FINALLY convinced me to quit and I will be putting my notice in when I work next Thursday. Hopefully it goes OK.

I know in my heart I am making the right decision. Plus we want to start TTC again in November so assuming it doesn't take as long as it did to get Charles I want this extra special time to spend alone with him too.                                  How could I ever leave this face !??!

Charles Robert Cincoski

After months of wondering and waiting, Charles is finally here! I wanted to write down as much as I can remember about the day before I forget it, so this may get a little long :)

It started Monday with operation get baby out! I went mall walking with my pregnant friend Jamie who was due 5 days ahead of me. Then I got a pedicure and sat in the massage chair on high settings. I made SPICY chipotle seasoned tacos for dinner. I had Joe do acuppressure points that induce labor, and the kicker, that night was the full moon!

With all the old wives tales on my side I woke up around 3am and felt wet. I looked but it was just wet in my underwear so I figured it was just discharge. I got up a few minutes later to put lotion on my face and a huge gush came out of me. I wasnt sure if my water broke so I called Joe in to come check it out. While he was looking at it I gushed again making us believe this was really it!

I wanted to wait a while to go to the hospital since I planned on having a natural med free birth. I knew once I walked in the doors I would be on their time and schedule. I wasn't contracting so we went for a little walk and had breakfast. I called my OB to let her know and she suggested going in a few hours. I arrived at Labor and Delivery around 9:30am and was admitted right away after my urine test indicated I had broke my water.

I was only 1 1/2cm dilated so Joe and I walked laps around the maternity ward. My mom came to visit for awhile  as well as Joe's parents and my sister in law and nephew. I wasn't progressing at all so I agreed to let them strip my membranes and they would check in 3 hours. I didn't want pitocin and was against anything that would be "unnatural" which the nurses respected. 3 hours later I was only at 3 cm. We decided to break the rest of my water as there was still some bulged around the babies head. They did this at 7pm and my contractions started getting stronger. They said they would check again in 3 more hours.

Joe and I walked more laps and used the birthing ball. It was getting harder to walk without stopping so almost every lap we had to stop so I could get through the contractions. At 10pm the nurse came to check me again and I was at 3 1/2 cm. I was so frustrated I wanted to cry. I feared that I would need the pitocin which she suggested. I asked if I could have 1 more hour to try and jumpstart things and if nothing happened I would agree to a small pitocin drip. The nurse called my OB and miraculously he agreed to forgo the pitocin and would allow me to progress naturally on my own until 4am. Then they would reevaluate and see where we would need to go from there.

The nursed switched and I had a fabulous one named Chi. She was very supportive of my natural choices and said that she thought I was stuck at 3cm because of my LEEP procedure I had a year ago. She described that scar tissue was built up there and as soon as charlie could push past that labor would go pretty quickly. I of course thought she was lying to me and I would be in labor forever! I was in the tub at this point which felt really good. I couldn't walk anymore and my contractions were right on top of each other. Joe was an amazing coach. He kept telling me I was doing great and that I could do this.

When I got out of the tub she was in the room setting up for delivery. I thought that was mean because it felt like I still had a long ways to go.....she must have known! I crawled into the bed and couldn't talk or move it hurt so bad. It felt like a brick scraping up against my back/butt. I was only 4 cm dilated at this point around 3am.  I got on the birthing The nurses switched again so when she came to check me I was at 8cm. I went from 4-8 in about 40 minutes!!! The nurse left and I started feeling like I had to push. I told Joe who rang for her to come back in. She checked me and I was at 10 cm +1 station....all in another 10 minute time period. Chi was right...I did progress fast.

This last part is a blur because the pain was so intense. I hurt so bad I couldn't talk, move or focus really. My OB was still not there yet so they wouldn't let me push, which was IMPOSSIBLE because my body was doing it naturally. That is when I started screaming. It felt so good to push and they wouldn't let me! Finally they said I could and I screamed with every one I had. I pushed for about 20 minutes and finally  at 4:09am Charles Robert Cincoski was here. He weighed 6 pounds 11 ounce and was 19 3/4 inches long. I was able to have the natural pain medication free birth I dreamed of. I can't wait to see what the future will bring.

Pre-Labor

So here I am at 37 weeks 3 days pregnant and having contractions that don't mean a single thing...not one! I have been having them since last night and they are about 10-13 minutes apart lasting for about a minute. Until they become 5 minutes apart or my water breaks, I have to just chill at home and try and relax.

My house is spotless, Charlies room is 99% ready for him and the only thing that makes me feel better is taking a bath. Unfortunately I can't get out of my fabulous whirlpool bathtub by myself so I have to wait until Joe can get home in a few hours. Blah! Charlie, listen to your Mum and just come out already :) I promise I will be a lot less crabby!

35 weeks

WEEKLY STATS:
Weight:  146
Cravings: Pineapple, Carbs, ANYTHING!
How do I feel: I'm getting anxious. I just want to meet Charles

Starting next Thursday my Doctors app will be every week. I have finally come to end of the rope. Today is Joe's 31st birthday and also the 1 month mark til my due date. We are going out to dinner and then to church tonight. We are enjoying the "last" birthday together child free.

I am starting to get antsy with the pregnancy now. I am so exhausted by the time I am done with work in the evenings. The little kids really wear me down....especially if they are screaming and yelling. It upsets Charles to and gives me horrible Braxton hicks contractions. Only 4 weeks (or less) of work left. I'm hoping Charlie decides to make an early debut into this world though :)

I still have SO MUCH to get done before he arrives. I need to organize clothes and clean EVERYTHING!

Here are a few of my Maternity pics:
