32 weeks!

WEEKLY STATS:
Weight:  143
Cravings: Fruits, Sprite, French Fries, Chips and Salsa
How do I feel: I feel tired. Nothing new, just lack of energy all around

So I am 32 weeks. I had a doctors appointment today and Charles was measuring about 18 inches and over 4 pounds! I can't believe it! My little man may turn out to be not so little :) I am so looking forward to meeting him though. Joe's aunt gave us the glider we wanted so it makes the nursery feel not as empty. Still waiting for my shower in 3 weeks before we go out and buy stuff. I am sure some "big" items will be gifted to us.

In other news I started a new job. I am at a pediatric dental clinic and LOVE IT! The children are so cute, and if they are naughty....well I only have to deal with them for 30 minutes and then they are gone! Joe has an interview for a vet position at Banfield Pet Hospital next week. We are crossing our fingers that he gets it. It would be such a relief for him to have a job right away when he graduates in May.

Lastly, Joe's cousin Kevin passed away on Christmas eve. We are still not sure of the specifics, but police are looking into it. He was only 22 so it is just a sad situation all around. After the death of my Grandma Roy and now with the death of Kevin, I have realized what amazing families I am a part of. They truly are there for one another and it is such a comfort.

I hope everyone's holiday was good and that all of you with babies spoiled the crap out of them!

Life Changes

I know I haven't posted in awhile. My Grandma has been in failing health the last month and she went home to heaven on Sunday. I have been very close with her ever since I was little. She was my absolute favorite person in the whole world. Our baby is named after her husband who was also a special person in my life. I can't believe she is gone from this world and that I won't be able to talk with her when I want and see her. My family is very religious so I KNOW I will see her again in heaven, but for right now that just doesn't seem good enough.
The last week of her life I spent every day 6+ hours in the nursing home with her. She had stopped eating and drinking and was unresponsive. She is such a tough lady...she lasted 13 days without food or water! The last sentance she ever spoke was to me, and I find that very special. I told her I had to leave for the day and I'd be back tomorrow and that I loved her and she replied so clear "I love you too". She was my best friend next to my mother. All 3 of us were so close. I just can't believe she is gone. Being pregnant while this has happened has been tough to with the emotions. Sometimes I feel fine but then others I just break down and can't stop. Thankfully my husband is amazing and will just hold me and be with me until I stop. Here are a few of my favorite pictures of us.

23 Weeks!

WEEKLY STATS:
Weight:   126
Cravings: Candy Bars, Cookies, Ice cream, Pizza
How do I feel: I feel exhausted, but in a manageable way.

Well I am 23 weeks woo hoo! 1 more week and I will have reached Viability Day. We found out that we are having a Boy a few weeks ago. Charles Robert (Charlie) named after my Grandpa, and then both Joe's dad and my Dad are Robert. We are thrilled and it makes everything seem so much more real. Charlie has been a moving machine and I'm loving it. I was put on activity rest to stave off pre-term labor, so I'm getting a little stir crazy lately. I have begun to "nest" though. I am cleaning constantly at home and making lots on things to do before darling boy gets here. I will try to be better about updating this blog....but I have become super lazy! Here's a pic of me at 23 weeks at 3 days. 1 more pound to go and I will have gained 10 :)

It's been a rough week

I started my new dental assisting job on Monday Oct 3rd. This Monday I was let go from it. I am absolutely devastated. One of the doctors is on medical leave, which left no resources to spend time training me in. They had to get someone with experience to take on the extra work load. I am upset because they said they were going to work with me while I get national certified (my test in next Tuesday). I am so thankful I didn't put my 2 weeks in at my waitress job like I planned otherwise I would be completely jobless. Joe and I were just getting used to the idea of me being able to take on all the bills (if need be) and being able to have a little extra savings for when the baby comes. Now I am back to square one looking for and applying for jobs. I just have to put all my trust in the lord and acknowledge that he has a better path for me. I just hope I find it soon!

Also, my Mom has just finished her 7 week run of radiation treatment. She feels so bad right now and I just want to make her better. She has lost a lot of weight and weighs 120 pounds now which isn't good with her being so tall!  1/2 of her face is all burned (think 2 face in batman) and she has lost a lot of hair. Please pray that she can overcome these obstacles and feel normal again. She doesn't even have enough energy to talk much because her mouth is so sore.

On a less depressing note, I have my anataomy scan in 2 days. As of right now Joe thinks it's a girl, I think it's a boy. What do you think it is?

Here's my 20 week picture at the pumpkin patch. We found a pumpkin that was the same size as my belly.

Rainy Wednesdays

I had a good day already and it's not even 3pm yet! I actually got 5 hours of sleep last night so that helps a lot already. I cleaned the whole house and have started to work on the nursery a bit. By work on it I mean, I went in the room and saw all the stuff I need to do to it :)

After about 10 minutes of staring at it, it was time to get ready to go to lunch with my good friend and little sister Paula ( http://lifelessonsbyp.blogspot.com/ ). I haven't seen her for so long, lets just say the last time I saw her I wasn't pregnant!! I love her because we can literally talk for hours about anything and everything. Our mom's are best friends and they get together quite frequently and have their own personal gab fests. You know a good friend when you haven't seen them for awhile, but you can pick up right where you left off.

Paula so kindly lent me her sex and the city DVD's, since I get way to board without Joe around. I am going to spend the rest of the afternoon staring I mean cleaning the nursery. So much to do, so little time! Hopefully the sound of the rain against the windows won't send me into a slumber!

18 Weeks!

WEEKLY STATS:
Weight:   117
Cravings: Fried Pickels, Chipotle, ANYTHING!
How do I feel: I feel very tired. Sleep is not on my side these days, so I usually wake up every 45 minutes throughout the night.

I had a good week. I worked a couple days and made a lot of $$$$, I guess the pregnancy tips myth was true! I seem to make almost $70 more a shift now...and I'll take it! I had lunch with some friends too which was nice. I feel like since I've become pregnant people don't want to hang out with me as much........Of course pregnancy hormones are in strong effect so I could just be overly sensitive when people are busy.

I have felt a lot of movement. There was a polka band in church this week and baby was dancing up a storm in there everytime they played. It's so cool now that it is a more defined feeling, Joe still hasn't felt it yet though :(

I bought a baby swing for $33 and a Stroller for $50 this week as well. Bringing my savings to  $204!!!!!!! They are used but in excellent condition. The rest we will register for and see what we need from there. 4 weeks til we find out if we are having a boy or girl!

15 Weeks!

WEEKLY STATS:
Weight:   114
Cravings: Taco Bell, Chipotle, Ice Cream, and Chicken Wild Rice Soup!
How do I feel: I still feel tired, but am starting to feel more normal

On Monday I had another cervical length ultrasound. Everything is still staying closed, so that was good news. I was able to see little baby sleeping with it's arm streched behind it's head just how I sleep. It was really cute.

Later that day I took my big Dental Assisting License exam. I passed the expanded functions part and didn't pass the radiology part. I only missed one section which means I failed it by only 4 questions. It was a bit of a bummer, but I know what questions I did wrong on so I will for sure pass it when I take it next week.

The rest of the week I'm just working and hopefully getting some baby things done. I am doing a lot of research on cloth diapering at the moment. I am still on the fence about it....but it sounds like a good investment to me.

14 Weeks

Starting to get a real bump! I have felt baby moving quite a bit, so this week has been very fun. I am very exhausted from working this week so this post will be short but sweet. I am also taking my big Dental Assisting boards on Monday so all of my free time has been spent studying trying to remember everything! Next week I will know my results and also have an ultrasound scheduled...so it should be more exciting.

WEEKLY STATS:
Weight:   116
Cravings: Ice cream and Taco's!
How do I feel: Tired!

13 WEEKS!

WEEKLY STATS:
Weight:   113
Cravings: Home cooked meals AKA Hotdishes and Corn on the cobb
How do I feel: Like a new person!

I am FINALLY in the 2nd trimester or as it's often referred to the "Honeymoon" period of pregnancy. My morning sickness is gone and I feel for the most part great. I can eat again and feel normal. I still get tired really easily, but it's so much better than being all around miserable! I went out of town for 2 weeks so I have been neglecting the blog a big :(

Yesterday I had a routine OB check up and ultrasound. We were able to hear the babies heartbeat which was 160 BPM! Joe and I are thinking that it's going to be a girl according to all the old wives tales we've been reading. 1. Fast hearbeat 2. Horrible Morning Sickness 3. Pregnancy Brain more than should be normal. In about 7 weeks we will know for sure though :)

The ultrasound went great! Baby Cincoski now looks like a baby instead of a blob. It's arms and legs were moving around like crazy which I am also starting to feel. It's like like tiny bubbles/flutters on my side. Very cool/different feeling. I also had my cervical length screening, which I will have every 2 weeks now until I hit 24 weeks. I have to get my cervix checked to make sure it stays closed. I had  LEEP procedure done in December in which they scrap pre-cancerous cells off your cervix...so long story short it can possibly compromise staying closed during pregnancy. I am not worried though, it is very treatable if they detect anything.

I got a new haircut this week and bought some Maternity jeans which are the most comfortable thing EVER! Here's a pic of Baby love and my growing belly.

9 weeks!

That blob in the middle is the baby! We had our first ultrasound last week and saw the hearbeat and baby AKA Blob. It is the size of a grain of rice...can you believe that! at our next one in 3 weeks it should resemble a human more :)

WEEKLY STATS:
Weight:   115
Cravings: They have come back but still not too strong. I really want fast food, fried food, or chinese food
How do I feel: Better now that the morning sickness is over. It's been replaced with bad headaches...but I'll take them over the puking. I feel like my belly is getting less bloated and more round...so next weeks picture should look pretty different!

8 Weeks!

I can't believe it is 8 weeks already. I feel like I just found out!
I had my first doctors visit on Monday and that went well. We did a whole health history , and an exam. My nurse said my uterus was growing right on track so that made me feel really good. I go in on Friday for the first ultrasound so I will update you all then.

WEEKLY STATS:

Weight:   114 my morning sickness has taken a toll on my body
Cravings: NOTHING! All food and drink sounds gross to me. I can barely eat and when I do finally make something that I thought I would like I end up getting repulsed by it and having just a few bites. Mcdonalds and Arbys seem to be the only edible food at the moment.
How do I feel: Crabby! I want to eat and my body just doesn't like anything. I am exhausted because I can't sleep at night. When I finally feel like I have energy it's right before I have to go to bed. I am looking forward to being done with the first trimester!

7 Weeks!

Today I am 7 weeks pregnant! I received The Belly Book in the mail today, so I was very excited to start putting down all the memories/milestones thus far.

I had a great day yesterday at my parents floating/swimming on the lake, and spending time with family and friends. We have told all of our family now and most of our extended family. I was hoping for a bigger reaction from some, but overall everyone is thrilled and very happy for us!

My mornings have been a lot rougher as of late. My morning sickness is out of control! It is now seeping into the afternoons. It has been hard to deal with this at my internship as the smell of toothpaste makes me really nautious, so dental assisting isn't my close friend at the moment!

Now the weekly stats:
Weight:  117
Cravings: Basically everything that is not good for me. Poptarts, Chips, Pizza Rolls, Ice cream
How do I feel: I am a hormonal mess. A few days ago I was almost that stereotypical pregnant wife who wanted to throw a remote at my husbands head. I can't even remember what set me off...but it seems to be anything and everything! In more hilarious/extreme cases I have taken to crying at the end of Man Vs. Food episodes when Adam wins his challenges (I can't help it!). Also peeing is horrible!!!!!!!! Sometimes after I have finished, before I can walk out the bathroom door I have to turn around and pee again lol. I just have to keep an even keel and keep working out. It seems to calm me down with my daily 3 mile walks or else lifting at the gym. Next weeks update will be even more exciting, because on Monday Joe and I will have been able to look at and hear our little bean :)

6 weeks!

Today I am 6 weeks pregnant!
Weight: 116
Cravings: Ice Cream...I got really teary eyed today thinking about it so Joe and I made a quick run to Festival to cure the sadness! Fruit is a must have too. Apples, Muss melon, and raspberries are my go to foods at the moment.
How do I feel:  I am so tired all the time. I can't quit yawning. My face is still breaking out which is disquesting. As you can tell by the pic I am really bloated too. Bye Bye flat abs!

First Office Visit

I had my confirmation appointment with the nurse today. I had to give a urine sample and wait for almost 20 minutes to get the result. It was annoying because I KNEW I was pregnant lol, and all my tests told me within a minute.

I found out that I am farther along than I thought. I will be 6 weeks tomorrow and my due date is February 21,2012. Exactly 1 1/2 years since our wedding. Joe and I are so excited. I have my big appointment 2 weeks from now on July 11 with my OB. I am excited to see/hear the heartbeat. I can't even imagine how amazing it will be.

February State Of Mind!

I Started my day off yesterday with the bottom test from the dollar store at 11DPO...I didn't think it was for real, so as you can see I went a little overboard today Embarrassed
I told DH right away and his response was "It's about time" lol. This was our 10th month and 8th cycle trying. 8 is my lucky # so I was being superstitious already.
Symptoms: I have been extremely tired, but thought it was from interning 5 days a week full time and then working on the weekends. I have felt a little car sick being a passenger, and get that icky feeling when your stomach is empty and your hungry. I have been sleeping very badly too. A big sign for my was my boobs have had a constant dull ache and are HUGE! I am pretty petite so they are very noticeable.  I have been very bloated as well but have stayed the same weight. I've been working out really hard the last month or so so there is no way I should be bloated! My abs were flat before. The only other thing I can think of is little aches/twinges like when AF comes.

What we did different:  Nothing! This is going to sound annoying but we honestly didn't try this month ( I hated it when people would tell me it would happen if we just relax!). Looking at my chart we only were able to BD 5 times total since our schedules are so opposite. The last time I think we got our timing right as I O'd on CD23.

To those of you that know me and have me on facebook, please don't post about this until you see me do it. I'd like to keep it a surprise to extended family members. Can't wait to see what the future brings Joe and I!
Due date is February 29,2012....leap year baby!

Weekend!

So glad the weekend is finally here. Unfortunately I still have to work my paying job 16 hours on sat and sundays while I'm at my unpaid internship mon-Fri! I was happy to get cut early today and actually be able to relax a bit. As I type this I am in my pajama's and it's only 6:19 in the evening lol. I am currently 3DPO and have about 8 more to go until I test. I have had a few signs (but I seem to find something every month!)...horrible acne when my skin is basically perfect. I've been really tired and emotional too, but that could just be from the internship. It's so hard to not look for a deeper meaning in things. This is cycle 8 trying and 8 is my lucky number, so we will have to see what happens :) :)...when I do find out you (and Joe) will be the first to know.

Confused!!!

So I am currently on my internship for school right now. I went for Dental Assisting and need to do an internship for 10 weeks in order to graduate. I  have one for 5 weeks at a specialty office (I chose pedodontics) and the second is at a general office. I have been getting many hints of a part time job opening the last week or so at my clinic. I feel like the timing is so horrible!  I just feel like with this new opportunity this WILL be the month I get pregnant lol. I obviously want a baby more than anything, but it has definitely made me stay up at night thinking about the endless possibilities and scenarios. A Hygenist at the clinic right now is pregnant so, I'm sure it wouldn't be an issue...I just don't want to jeopardize something that could be so great and another dream of mine....decisions decisions. I'm on cycle day 21 so in about 8 - 10 days I will have an answer to one of my questions at least!

Bittersweet days

Today was the big day that my brother and his wife found out what their baby is. My SIL is 20 weeks and the ultrasound tech was 80% sure that it's a girl. I am so incredibly excited to be an Aunt again. I can't help but feel a little sad moving onto month 10 of trying to conceive though. I know everything will happen in God's time...but I am not a very patient person! I just hope baby Linwood and future baby Cincoski will be close in age and be good friends/play buddies!

The Time Has Come.....

I have been putting it off long enough, so here I am making my first blog post. I am new to this so this will be trial and error at first. Until next time when I have something useful to say....happy reading!
